The Colorado Buffaloes have been hit with a lot of player movement this week and Shedeur Sanders shared his thoughts on it. Since Monday, 14 players have entered the transfer portal. This includes some of the team's most promising talents, like linebacker Demouy Kennedy and cornerback Cormani McClain.

Quarterback Shedeur Sanders addressed the departures on Thursday, emphasizing the commitment required to succeed in Boulder. He shared a blunt message to everyone not playing in the next season.

"If you're not playing here, that means you're doing something crazy," Shedeur said.

In the press conference, the $4.7 million NIL-valued Sanders (as per On3.com) told the media that their program is not really losing any talent. Shedeur is actively working to improve team depth, while his brother Shilo put out a public call to action on social media.

Shilo's Instagram post directly targeted transfer players, urging them to consider Buffaloes as their next destination.

"Defense transfers DM me," Sanders wrote. "Offensive transfer DM [Shedeur]. This is not Last Chance U."

Coach Deion Sanders is undeterred by the departures. On Thursday, Sanders questioned the transfer narrative. He underlined the necessity of assessing practice performance, implying that departed players might not have made key contributions.

“I wish you guys do a little more homework when you start talking about the portal and understand what we losing, What are we losing? I got time today,” Sanders said. “What are we losing? Potential? Where? You haven’t been watching practice have you? We good. We’re good.”

The Buffaloes will open their 2024 season on August 31st at Folsom Field against North Dakota State.

Coach Prime clarifies influence on Shedeur Sanders' NFL future

Coach Prime addressed speculation regarding his influence on his son Shedeur Sanders' NFL draft destination on Wednesday. During an interview with the "DNVR Buffs Podcast," Sanders refuted claims that he would dictate which teams could draft his sons.

"I do know, and you got to understand, I would never come out and say where I don't want them to go, and I would never highlight where I would want them to go,” Deion Sanders said.
“Although there are many owners that I'm very fond of, that I have a relationship with. I really think, and I know that they desire to win and win it all." [Timestamp - 4:32]

Sanders has already shown a preference for Shedeur to play in a warm-weather location. Shedeur grew up in Texas and played in warm climates like Mississippi and Colorado, so it's reasonable that he'd feel more at ease in the same setting.

Ultimately, while Coach Prime may offer guidance, the final decision on where to play will likely rest with the young quarterback himself.
