For the first time in school history, Indiana football sits at a perfect 9-0 record, the No. 8-ranked Hoosiers head into the next game undefeated. With a 6-0 record in the Big Ten, the Hoosiers share the conference lead with top-ranked Oregon, and are even in the running for a spot in the expanded 12-team playoff under first-year coach Curt Cignetti.
This week, Indiana is all set to face the Michigan Wolverines with an overall record of 5-4 and a conference record of 3-3. The teams will play in Bloomington, where the Hoosiers will look to remain undefeated. Historically, Indiana has struggled against Michigan. The matchup is set for Saturday, November 9 at Memorial Stadium.

Indiana Hoosiers' starting QB against the Michigan Wolverines in Week 11
After undergoing thumb surgery on Oct. 22, Kurtis Rourke made a strong return to the field in Week 10, leading Indiana to a decisive 47-10 victory over Michigan State. Rourke completed 19 of 29 passes, racking up 263 yards and four touchdowns.
Rourke has thrown for 2,204 yards across eight games, completing 73.3% of his passes with 19 touchdowns and just three INTs. In addition to his success through the air, he has added 45 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. His ability to recover quickly from his injury has been crucial for Indiana as the Hoosiers continue an impressive season.
Rourke sustained the injury in Indiana’s 56-7 win over Nebraska, leaving the game at halftime. Although he missed the following game against Washington, he returned to lead the Hoosiers over Michigan State, proving he is fully prepared to take on Michigan.
Indiana Hoosiers' QB depth chart
Rourke is backed up by Tayven Jackson, a transfer from Tennessee who joined Indiana before the 2023 season. Last year, Jackson completed 78 of 128 passes for 914 yards, scoring two touchdowns and throwing five interceptions.
Jackson played a crucial role in Indiana's win over Nebraska, stepping up in the second half after Rourke's injury. He made a comeback against Louisville earlier this season, throwing for 299 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Also on Indiana’s depth chart are quarterbacks Tyler Cherry and Roman Purcell. Cherry and Purcell add valuable depth to Indiana’s roster, ensuring the Hoosiers remain in strong shape at the quarterback position as the team continues this remarkable season.
