Hunter was injured in Colorado's 31-28 loss to Kansas State on Oct. 12. He suffered the injury in the second quarter and went to the locker room several times to address the issue. The final time, he returned to the sideline in a shoulder brace and did not return to the game.

Ahead of Colorado's following game against Arizona, Hunter was listed as likely on the injury report. He ultimately played in the game and helped the Buffaloes get a 34-7 win. However, he reaggravated the injury in the second quarter and missed the entire second half as a result.

For Colorado's most recent game against Cincinnati, Hunter was listed as likely on the injury report again and once again was able to play. This time, he did not reaggravate the injury and appeared fully healthy.

Travis Hunter was a full participant against Cincinnati and appeared healthy. Since then, the Buffaloes had an open week, giving Hunter more time to recover from the injury if it was still bothering him. There has been not talk from Hunter or the coaching staff that indicates that he is still impacted by the injury. As a result, he is expected to play against Texas Tech and be a full participant in the game.
