Travis Hunter, valued at $3.3 million per On3, sat down with Richard Sherman on the 'The Richard Sherman Podcast' on Monday and talked about money management. Despite owning two boats and more than 200 pairs of shoes, Hunter insisted he's not a big spender.

In the interview, Hunter opened up about his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, and her role in helping him handle his finances more wisely.

“NIL space, I mean, I kind of just sit back and relax,” Hunter said. “I mean, I got a fiancée, so she helped me save a lot of money.” [Timestamp - 12:53]
“So I'm not out there splurging my money,” he said. "It’s probably just, I do buy a lot of shoes. I probably got like 200 pair of shoes since like being at Jackson State but shoe ain’t that much."

Reflecting on his future, Hunter emphasized his focus on football and family over material things.

“But yeah, I save a lot of my money because I know the next level, man, you already got everything. I got two boats and I want to just play football. And I got a wife. So, I'm just happy with my family right there, so I'm in it.”

Ranked third in On3's NIL 100 and second in College Football NIL rankings, Hunter’s financial portfolio continues to grow. His latest partnerships include NerdWallet, United Airlines and JLab; all inked in September.

Travis Hunter shares his thoughts on former UNLV QB Matthew Sluka's NIL controversy

Travis Hunter shared his thoughts on former UNLV quarterback Matthew Sluka's NIL controversy, offering some advice on his podcast, The Travis Hunter Show, on Sunday. Sluka, who transferred to UNLV from Holy Cross, left the Rebels after a 3-0 start, reportedly due to unmet financial promises.

Hunter encouraged Sluka to focus less on NIL deals and more on his NFL dreams.

"Buddy, if I'm you, I'm trying to get to the NFL," Travis Hunter said [H/t Fox]. "NIL can wait. I know it happened to a lot of your teammates, but I'm out there ballin' on that field. I need all of the film I can get. Every piece of bit of the film. ... It's not about the NIL, it's about the NFL.” [Timestamp - 00:20]

According to Fox, Sluka’s family claimed that UNLV didn’t follow through on a verbal $100,000 NIL deal promised to him during his transfer. Both UNLV and its NIL collective, Blueprint Sports and Entertainment, denied these claims, with the school adding that Sluka made financial demands that could violate NCAA rules.
