Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders has been away from Colorado, dealing with unspecified health issues. Coach Prime has dealt with a plethora of health issues over the years, during and after his playing career. However, his latest set of issues has forced him away from the Buffaloes while they start their annual summer football camps.
There are concerns in the college football world about the health of the $60 million man (per Celebrity Net Worth), but Deion Sanders does not want people to worry about him. On Wednesday morning, Coach Prime made his first comments about his health issues on X.
Sanders told his fans that while he thanks them for their support and concern and that he will return to Colorado shortly.

Sanders is in Texas to deal with his health issues and he is joined by his eldest son, Deion Sanders Jr. On a live stream on Sunday, Sanders Jr. spoke about when they will be back in Colorado:
"He’ll tell y’all soon enough what he going through, what he went through. When we get back in Boulder, I don’t know. I’m waiting until my dad leaves. When he leaves, then I’ll go. Until then, I’m gonna sit here with him."
Deion Sanders has dealt with several health issues over the past five years
This is not the first time Deion Sanders has had to miss time because of health issues during his coaching career. In 2021, Sanders dealt with blood clot issues, which resulted in the amputation of two of his toes. The surgeon was also forced to remove the sides of his left calf.
In 2023, he missed a Pac-12 conference media event because of similar blood clot issues. Sanders has not specified whether he is in Texas because of his recurring blood clot issues or some other health problem.
Sanders is still expected to be available and ready for the Colorado Buffaloes' upcoming season. The team is scheduled to start its season on August 29 against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Buffaloes will try to stay in contention in the Big 12 despite losing some of their best players to the NFL.
