After another disappointing loss to Alabama, LSU fans have hit their breaking point with Tigers coach Brian Kelly. Jalen Milroe led the No. 11 Crimson Tide to a 42-13 victory over the No. 14 Tigers on Saturday. With this blowout defeat, LSU now sits at 6-3 and 3-2 in SEC play, effectively ending its hopes of a College Football Playoff berth.

For a team that came off an open week with time to prepare for a season-defining game, the lackluster performance from the Tigers has left fans both shocked and outraged. Milroe ran all over LSU’s defense, tallying 185 rushing yards and scoring four touchdowns.

This is the second straight year that Milroe has decimated LSU, following his 155-yard rushing effort in last season's 42-28 win. Kelly’s claims of a defensive scheme to stop Milroe looked ineffective, drawing the ire of fans who took to social media to air their frustrations.

One fan tweeted, "not the first time Kelly has made questionable decisions in bad weather."

Kelly’s LSU tenure has been nothing short of a disappointment for most of the fans.

Kelly’s comments after Saturday's game only further fueled fan frustration.

“We're disappointed in the way we performed. And I'm disappointed that we didn't live up to the standards of LSU football. That affects us more than the damn playoffs,” Kelly said.

When questioned about LSU’s defensive woes, Kelly said:

“We have a scheme to stop the quarterback. We did not get that done, so I take responsibility for it.… but we’ve got to come up with the right answers… it hasn’t worked very well these last couple of games.”

With three games remaining, LSU’s playoff chances are all but shattered. The Tigers are now battling just to end the season on a high note. Kelly, however, remains confident that his team will find answers, though fans are less optimistic after another painful loss.
