The California Golden Bears travel to Winston-Salem on Friday night to take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in a Week 11 Atlantic Coast Conference showdown. Both teams have 4-4 records entering this Week 11 matchup, but the Golden Bears are still searching for their first win in conference play, going 0-4 in the ACC.
After a 3-0 start to the season, Cal suffered four straight losses versus ACC opponents before bouncing back with a dominant win over Oregon State on Oct. 26.
Wake Forest is in the middle of the pack in the ACC standings, with a 2-2 record in conference play. The Demon Deacons, meanwhile, are coming off two-straight wins entering Week 11, their only stretch winning back-to-back games this season.

Cal opened the game with a field goal to cap off a 12-play, 64-yard drive, taking a 3-0 lead. On the ensuing kickoff, the Golden Bears forced a fumble, returning the loose ball for a touchdown to take a 10-0 lead, claiming momentum over Wake Forest.
The Demon Deacons stole their momentum back, grabbing an interception and capitalizing with a quick five-play, 30-yard touchdown drive, cutting Cal's lead to 10-7 with under four minutes remaining in the opening period. After an exchange of punts, Cal regained their momentum, punching in their second touchdown of the game to extend their lead to 17-7 in the opening minutes of the second quarter.
The Golden Bears forced another punt and capitalized with a 38-yard field goal to extend their lead to 20-7 with nine minutes left in the first half. Wake Forest responded after forcing a turnover on downs with a 44-yard touchdown pass from Hank Bachmeier to Demond Claiborne to bring the score to 20-14 with under four minutes remaining.
Cal responded to Wake Forest's touchdown drive with a six-play, 65-yard touchdown to extend their lead to 26-14 with under two minutes left in the first half. After forcing a punt, the Golden Bears mustered one final field goal to end the half with a 29-14 lead.
