Shedeur Sanders accompanied his father for Colorado's first Big 12 Media Days. The Buffs are gearing up for their reunion with the conference after spending 13 seasons as a member of the Pac-12. The quarterback followed Coach Prime from Jackson State last year after he was announced as the new head coach in Boulder.

However, despite the hype surrounding the Sanders family's arrival in Boulder, they could muster only a 4–8 campaign last year. While speaking to ESPN during the Big 12 Media Days, Shedeur Sanders talked about the future of the program's future and how he believes they are destined to be successful in 2024.

The Colorado quarterback highlighted the positive atmosphere within the locker room, stating that there is no 'jealousy' amongst the players and that they are all aiming for the same goal together.

"This is a new team. So whatever happened last year doesn't have anything to do within. It's new players, we're better at every position, we're better version of ourselves. So you should not expect a lesser result than that," Shedeur said.
"I mean I would describe it as being as fun. Everybody's out there to have great energy and practice is definitely very competitive. It's no hate, it's no jealously, it's no none of that in the locker room," Sanders added.

"It's just fun. It's just a loving environment and it's no jealously, no envy. Players already know the expectations already know what playing with Colorado comes with.....We gotta stay level headed, we gotta stay consistent and not really fluctuate."

Last season, Shedeur Sanders passed for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns. However, he was the highest-sacked quarterback with 52 sacks, as Colorado's O-line failed to protect him on the field.

Deion Sanders has addressed these issues in the off-season and has brought in players to provide Shedeur with better protection on the field for the 2024 season.

The Colorado quarterback also gave fans a glimpse of the program's new threads as they gear up for their Big 12 journey. Shedeur's elder brother, Deion Sanders Jr., posted a story on his Instagram where the quarterback posed in the black and white home jersey.

The new uniform flaunts the Big 12 logo on the front, with Colorado written across the chest. It also has a Shedeur's jersey number on the front.

Deion Sanders and his team have a tough journey ahead of them in the Big 12. It will be interesting to see if they can redeem themselves and at least qualify for the bowl games following last year's 4–8 campaign.
