Deion Sanders is having quite the success in the Big 12 this season. After last year's 4-8 debut, "Coach Prime" helped the Colorado Buffaloes qualify for their first Bowl game since the 2020 season. Not only this, the Buffs are also a strong contender for the conference title, exceeding all the expectations that fans had from the team.
The Buffaloes are currently second in the Big 12 standings and have a four-game winning streak to their name. They are scheduled to take on the Kansas Jayhawks next before ending the regular season with a showdown against Oklahoma State.
In a training video posted online this week, Deion Sanders opened up about how he plans to spend some of his time after the season ends. "Coach Prime" talked about going on a fishing expedition with two-way star Travis Hunter.

"I got a perfect trip after the season," Sanders said. "We're gonna start in Texas. We're gonna hook the boat to the back of the big truck. And we're gonna start in Texas, we're gonna go through Texas.... a whole video team on the bus behind us.
"We're gonna go through Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and we gonna use social media and we're gonna stop at every good private lake on the way and we're gonna go through Florida. We're gonna have like five good days worth of straight fishing," he added.
Apart from their love for the game of football, both Sanders and Hunter love fishing with a passion. The Colorado head coach also has a lake on his property in Texas. Recently, during their bye week before their Week 11 victory over Texas Tech, the duo spent some time fishing together in Texas.
NBA star LeBron James calls out Deion Sanders' haters after victory over Utah in Week 12
In Week 12, the Colorado Buffaloes improved to an 8-2 record for the season after their 49-24 victory over the Utah Utes. This victory put the Buffs in a position where they can genuinely be considered as a potential conference champion.
Following their triumph over Utah, NBA superstar LeBron James took to social media to call out everyone who doubted and hated on Sanders. In a post on X/Twitter, James responded to all the naysayers and heaped praise on Coach Prime's success with the Buffaloes:
"I don't hear non of those @CUBuffsFootball @DeionSanders HATERS being up front and loud! They're in hiding now! Coach Prime said 'We Coming'. Well it's 'We Here' now. Love what's going on there in Boulder," James wrote.
The Colorado Buffaloes have certainly left college football fans speechless with their redemption following last season's 4-8 campaign. It will be interesting to see if Deion Sanders can help the program with their first major title in years.
