Deion Sanders once shared his philosophy on raising tough kids while also providing them with luxury

Deion Sanders made quite a name for himself during his professional career in the NFL. And now after retirement, he is working on sharing his experience and knowledge with youngsters as a college football coach. The Colorado head coach's sons Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders are following his footsteps and trying to carve their success in the world of football.

Back in 2022, Deion Sanders took part in an interview with 7 Figure Squad where he talked about how he raised his children. Since the Sanders name had already become famous, Coach Prime opened up about how he instilled a sense of toughness in his kids so that they are not swayed by their father's fame and keep working to be where they want to be.

Deion Sanders talked about how he raised his kids by giving them the luxury they wanted. But at the same time, he wanted them to perform well in athletics and in school to understand the hardships that their father went through to be where he is today.

"This is our problem, and this maybe some of y'all problem. We're all in a position that our parents weren't at," Coach Prime said. "Because through their trials and tribulations, through their sturdiness, through the laziness, through the tardiness, through the work ethic that they instill in you, you are much farther along. So what does that do?"

"That provokes you to give your children the things that you didn't have. So what I had to do with my kids, put them in athletics and put them in schools so they understood how daddy came up and how daddy rose up. I know you still have on designer clothes, but you got to learn some of these things because you're going to need both."

Deion Sanders along with Shilo and Shedeur are in the midst of their second season with the Colorado Buffaloes. And after last year's disappointing 4-8 campaign, their hard work is paying off as the Buff are currently 4-1 in their Big 12 reunion campaign.

Deion Sanders' mother astonished by her son's success

Coming from a humble background, Coach Prime worked hard to achieve the success, fame and glory he enjoys today. After winning two Super Bowls and becoming a multi-millionaire, his mom Connie Knight was emotional watching the way her son turned his life around.

On Saturday, Coach Prime showed his massive property to his mother. Connie was left flabbergasted and continued to be in disbelief that her family owned such massive real estate.

"We went on a ride around the property and my MAMA @mamaconnie21 cussed as we keep going & going! Lololol She then stated "You own all this?" I responded "WE OWN ALL THIS"!! God is GOOD." Coach Prime wrote in the caption.

As Shedeur and Shilo prepare for their NFL transition next year, Deion Sanders will be looking forward to cheering on his sons on their path to success. But before that, he will be looking to close out this season positively to give them a perfect farewell.
