Marshawn Lynch is this weekend's College Gameday celebrity picker. Lynch will make predictions for Saturday's Week 6 college football games alongside the show's cast.
College Gameday is headed to Berkeley, California, as the California Golden Bears host the No. 8 Miami Hurricanes at 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
Lynch attended Cal from 2004-2006. He led the Pac-10 in rushing in 2006, finishing the year with 223 carries for 1,356 yards and 11 touchdowns while winning Pac-10 Player of the Year. During his time at Cal, Lynch tallied 490 carries for 3,230 yards and 29 touchdowns. The former All-Pro was chosen No. 12 overall in the 2007 NFL Draft.
As a professional, Lynch became one of the best running backs of the 2010s, rushing for 1,000 or more yards in six of his 12 NFL seasons. Lynch notched 2,453 carries for 10,413 yards and 85 touchdowns, earning a spot on the Hall of Fame All-2010s Team. Lynch won a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks in 2013 and led the league in rushing touchdowns in 2013 and 2014.
Miami looks to remain undefeated against Cal as College GameDay's Week 6 favorite
The Cal Golden Bears look to upset the No. 8 Hurricanes in Week 6. Miami enters the game as a 10-point favorite. The Hurricanes are 5-0. Cal is 3-1 through its first four outings, with its only loss coming to Florida State.
Miami is led by Heisman candidate Cam Ward, who has completed 70.2% of his passes for 1,782 yards and 18 touchdowns through five games. Ward has passed for at least 300 yards and three-plus touchdowns in every game this fall.
Meanwhile, Cal has beaten Auburn, San Diego State and UC Davis. Miami poses the Bears' biggest test this season. Topping the Hurricanes will be no easy feat for Lynch's former school.
