Preview of the Georgia Tech vs. VMI game

The Yellow Jackets started the season with an upset against Florida State in Week 0 before defeating Georgia State in Week 1. However, they fell to Syracuse last weekend, disrupting the momentum. The team's coach, Brent Key, noted that consistency is what they seek.

“I think the biggest word is inconsistency, and that’s what we’ve been working on,” Key said after the Syracuse game. “That game was the epitome of inconsistency from an offensive standpoint. … The ability to sustain, get positive yardage on first downs, keep the chains moving. We weren’t able to do that.”

On the other hand, VMI heads into Saturday's game following a tough 35-28 loss to Bucknell. Despite trailing by 21 points in the fourth quarter, VMI’s late rally with two touchdowns fell short, resulting in a defeat. Nonetheless, they will hope to keep that momentum in Week 3.

The Yellow Jackets are overwhelming favorites for the game, and they’ll try to bounce back when they host the Keydets. Brent Key's team has commanded national attention after the win against the Seminoles in Dublin, Ireland, and it remains to see how they fare for the rest of the season.
