"Heisman loading!!": CFB fans amazed by Arch Manning's accurate deep throws before taking over Texas QB1 role

Heading into the 2025 college football season, there are few players with as much hype as Arch Manning. The Texas quarterback is slated to take over the starting job for the first time after sitting in the backup role for two seasons behind Quinn Ewers. With Ewers headed to the NFL, the path is clear for Manning to start for the Longhorns.

Fans are excited to see Manning start for an entire season, so whenever clips of him are posted, it gets a reaction. On Friday, a clip of Arch Manning making several accurate throws was posted on the QB Country Instagram account.

The impressive clip drew a big reaction from fans in the comments.

Arch Manning is the preseason favorite to win the Heisman Trophy

While Arch Manning has never started a full college football season, he is the early favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, according to FanDuel. He has the best odds at +700, beating out the other top contenders. The five players with the best odds to win the prestigious award are as follows:

Arch Manning played significant minutes in three games this past season in September, starting two, when Quinn Ewers went down with an injury. In those three games. He played well in those games, helping the Longhorns win all of them.

However, after Ewers returned, Manning was used sparingly. Although he appeared in several games throughout the year, he was only used for spot plays when the Longhorns wanted to do set QB run plays. Manning completed 61 of 90 passing attempts for 939 yards and nine TDs in 2024, while also making 25 carries for 108 yards and four TDs.

The Longhorns will begin their season on August 30. Manning will have a tough challenge in the season opener as Texas is facing the reigning national champion Ohio State Buckeyes.
