The TCU Horned Frogs welcomed the Houston Cougars at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas for Friday's Week 6 college football action. Josh Hoover was the starting quarterback for the Horned Frogs, while Zeon Chriss, who made his debut start for the Cougars, called plays behind the offensive line.

The Horned Frogs were (-17.0) betting favorites in the eyes of oddsmakers. However, the Cougars registered an impressive upset victory as their spectacular offense won the game 30-19.
It seems a change in quarterback was what exactly was needed for the Cougars to get back to winning ways.
The only score in the first quarter was registered by the Cougars, whose seven-play, 58-yard march down the field culminated in Devan Williams catching an eight-yard touchdown pass from Zeon Chriss.
The second quarter started with another successful offensive march (8 plays, 62 yards) from the Cougars and this time it ended with Re'Shaun Sanford II rushing for a 2-yard touchdown to take Houston up 14-0. A 34-yard field goal from Jack Martin took Houston up 17-0.

Finally, Josh Hoover's offense reached the Cougars' territory with a seven-play, 77-yard march that ended with Josh Hoover passing to Savion Williams for a 21-yard touchdown, giving the Horned Frogs their first points on the board.
A defensive mishap from Horned Frogs resulted in a 71-yard rushing touchdown from Chriss, as with 2:00 left to halftime, the Cougars added to their already impressive lead.
The third quarter belonged to the defense of both teams. While TCU's defense finally got the hold of the Cougars' offense, Houston's defense only allowed one score, which came from Jeremy Payne, who rushed for a two-yard touchdown, capping off a good nine-play, 64-yard drive from the Horned Frogs.
The fourth quarter saw two field goals from the Cougars while another touchdown drive from Josh Hoover, who passed to Jack Bech for a 29-yard touchdown. However, it was never enough, as the first-half deficit was too good for the Horned Frogs, who suffered a 30-19 defeat.
