Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders decided not to declare for the 2024 NFL draft. Instead, Deion Sanders' son returned to Boulder for another college football season.

The Denver Broncos were a team that Deion Sanders had given his approval for Shedeur in the 2025 NFL draft. However, Sean Payton's team seems to have found a solution to its QB woes, drafting Oregon star Bo Nix as the 12th pick in this year's draft.

In the post-spring game news conference on Saturday, Shedeur Sanders dropped his first reaction to Denver's selection of Nix as its future quarterback.

"Yeah, man, I don't know what to expect next," Sanders said.

For now, Shedeur will focus on the upcoming preseason camp and Colorado's return to the Big 12. He put up a decent performance during the spring game alongside the revamped roster that Deion Sanders worked on during the offseason.

At the spring game, Shedeur tallied 116 yards and one touchdown passing. The Colorado QB found LaJohntay Wester for a 19-yard touchdown and finished the day completing 10 out of 14 passes.

"I feel like I run when I need to," Sanders said. "Of course, it's exciting and very energetic, but if I'm able to sit in there how I was today and throw it, there's no need to use my legs much."
