Arch Manning is one of the most talked about college football players. But, he has barely played for the Texas Longhorns.

This week, the No. 1 ranked Longhorns host the UL Monroe Warhawks, one of the worst programs in the FBS. Will Manning play in this game?

Is Arch Manning starting for Texas against UL Monroe?

Arch Manning will be the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns against UL Monroe.

This is due to Quinn Ewers being out of the game with an injury. This injury was obtained in the second quarter of the Longhorns' victory over the UTSA Roadrunners last week, and Ewers has not been cleared to play. This means that Arch Manning will be making his debut as a starting quarterback.

Up until last weeks game, fans had only seen Manning play in small sections, normally in games that Texas were blowing out their opponent in. After Ewers left the game injured last week, Manning stepped in and was able to live up to the high expectations that has been put on him.

Against the Roadrunners, Manning threw for 223 yards and four touchdowns. He was also able to score a 67-yard rushing touchdown, something that his famous uncles, Peyton and Eli Manning, were never able to do during their successful NFL careers.

It is expected that Arch Manning is going to have a similar game to how he played last week. The Warhawks are not much of a challenge on either offense or defense, so Manning and the star-studded Texas Longhorns team should be able to dominate them and record a large victory.

Who is the UL Monroe QB?

However, Arch Manning will not be the only quarterback playing this game that has had a lot of media attention. But, unlike Manning, this attention is not about what he can do on the field.

It is highly likely that the Warhawks will play General Booty as their starting quarterback. The former Oklahoma Sooner has become known in the College Football world for his unique but 100% real name.

On the field, Booty has played in the Warhawks' first two games of the season. In those games, he has thrown for 191 yards and scored one touchdown.

While he is likely to be outperformed by the Longhorns' quarterback, Booty can deliver good plays, which make give Warhawks fans some hope.
