Former President Donald Trump won't attend Saturday's game between the No. 3 Penn State (7-0) and No. 4 Ohio State (6-1). The Nittany Lions will host the Buckeyes on Saturday in a game that should have a big impact on the Big Ten standings. Trump was initially expected to attend the game, but that is no longer the case.

Penn State's director of public relations sent out an email on Wednesday, confirming former President Donald Trump is no longer planning to attend the game.

"The University has been notified that former President Donald Trump will no longer be attending the Ohio State - Penn State football game," he wrote.

Donald Trump's decision not to attend the game is surprising given that it would have allowed him to make an appearance in a battleground state three days before Election Day. He was in Pennsylvania the weekend before for a rally at the Bryce Jordan Center.

What to expect from Saturday's game between Penn State and Ohio State

The game between the Nittany Lions and Buckeyes on Saturday is the most anticipated matchup of the week. Penn State is one of three teams in the Big Ten with a perfect conference record (4-0). However, the other two teams, Indiana and Oregon, are ahead because they have one more win each.

Ohio State has a 3-1 conference record and is trying to catch those three teams. A win on Saturday would allow the Buckeyes to catch Penn State, but a loss would nearly eliminate them from Big Ten Championship contention.

It is expected to be a tight game, but Ohio State is given the edge by the sportsbooks. The Buckeyes are a -170 favorite to win the game, whereas the Nittany Lions are a +143 underdog.

The big issue for Penn State heading into the game is uncertainty at the quarterback position. Starter Drew Allar suffered an apparent knee injury in Saturday's 28-13 win over Wisconsin and did not return to the game in the second half. If he is not available, it will be a big hit to Penn State's chances.

The Nittany Lions will be looking to continue their undefeated season, but this will be their biggest test yet. Ohio State will look to continue its forward momentum after bouncing back with a 31-17 win over Nebraska last week.
