Texas Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond suffered an ankle injury in the first half of their 34-3 win over the Oklahoma Sooners. The injury kept him from playing the entire second half of the game, but his recovery is reportedly progressing well.
On Wednesday, coach Steve Sarkisian provided an update on Bond during the SEC Weekly Teleconference.
"He had a pretty good practice today," he said.

That is not a confirmation that Isaiah Bond will be back in the lineup this Saturday against Georgia but the fact that he is practicing is positive.
Since Bond spent a lot of time in the medical tent after getting injured and did not return for the second half, he had his lowest statistical output of the season. He only had one reception for five yards in the game.
However, he has had a huge impact on the Longhorns throughout the year, ranking first in receiving yards even after his limited availability against Oklahoma on Saturday.
Missing most of the Red River Rivalry game was a disappointment for Isaiah Bond. Before the game, he spoke about how he is built for big games. He said:
"I've heard a lot of great things from the players on the team, to close friends of mine, just telling me that this is basically equivalent to kind of like the Iron Bowl where I'm coming from, my previous team," Bond said.
"They're saying it might be an even bigger game than that. I've been built for big games, so I love playing a big game, so it's gonna be a fun time."
How would Isaiah Bond's absence affect the Texas Longhorns' offense?
The Longhorns will have a tough time replacing his production against higher-quality opponents.
In his absence, tight end Gunnar Helm caught five passes for 91 yards. Freshman wide receiver Ryan Wingo also stepped up with two receptions for 49 yards.
However, against No. 5 Georgia on Saturday, the Longhorns missing their top wide receiver in Bond would be a big hit. Texas has been largely untested this season, with its highest-ranked opponent thus far being number 24 Michigan.
Georgia, coming off a 31-13 win over Auburn, has played two top-10 teams already: a 34-3 win over No. 10 Clemson and a 41-34 loss to number seven ranked Alabama.
