Rich Eisen hit out at the Michigan Wolverines football program for hiring analyst Connor Stalions, the man at the center of the team's sign-stealing scandal last season. Michigan suspended Stalions in October 2023, when the NCAA opened up a case against the team, but he eventually resigned from his post a month later.
Now, as the Wolverines prepare to defend their national crown for the 2024 season, Eisen had his say on Stalions and even slammed Michigan for hiring the off-field analyst in the first place. On his YouTube show, the Rich Eisen Show, the Michigan alum cracked down on Stalions.
"I wish he (Stalions) rooted for another team," Eisen said. "I wish I had never heard his name. I wish that he had never been around the Michigan program. We didn't need him, I didn't want him, I don't need any of this stuff, I don't want any of this.

"The fact that he is roaming around looking like an injected Bobby Valentine on the sidelines of Central Michigan is an embarrassment. It's a complete embarrassment."
As per reports, Stalions was accused of scouting opponents by sending people to games to have them record sessions and then later signal their plays. ESPN reported that the former Michigan analyst impermissibly scouted at least 13 of the Wolverines' future opponents on at least 58 occasions between 2021 and 2023.
Michigan eventually won the national title last season, going unbeaten throughout its run to the championship, but the scandal threw shade on the achievement.
The NCAA's investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Connor Stalions to have his say on sign-stealing scandal in Netflix documentary

After resigning from his post as Michigan's analyst in November last year, Connor Stalions has remained away from the spotlight. However, he will share his side of the story in Netflix's 'Untold' series.
Stalions will address Michigan's controversy in the episode titled "Sign-Stealer," which will premiere on Aug. 27.
