Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes closed their season with an impressive 52-0 win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Friday. The victory gave the Buffs a final record of 9-3, securing them a spot in an important bowl game later in the year. The victory also means they'll end the year as a ranked school, entering Week 14 as the No. 25 team in the nation.
After the game, Coach Prime's eldest son Deion Sander Jr., recorded a video of the post-game proceedings at Folsom Field. He filmed the turf and bleachers, repeatedly saying:
"Last time on this field man"
It was left upto the viewers to interpret whether the comment was a reference to the fact that his brothers, Shilo and Shedeur Sanders, are on their way out to the NFL or the rumors regarding his father's move to the Dallas Cowboys.
Deion Sanders confirms Shedeur Sanders and other Colorado stars will appear in the bowl game
Now that the Colorado Buffaloes have ended their regular season, all eyes are on their bowl season. Coach Deion Sanders confirmed yesterday, that Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and other Colorado stars will appear in the postseason game:
"It’s a team thing," Sanders said Friday. "If me and T and a couple of other players aren’t out there, the Buffs aren’t going to look the same. We understand the pieces we are to the team, the leaders we are overall and the amount of players that would sit out if we weren’t out there doing it."
"Our kids are going to play in our bowl game because that’s what we signed up to do, we’re going to finish. We’re not going to tap out because that throws off the structure of next season."
The Colorado Buffaloes still have a chance to make the Big 12 championship game, although it's a slim one. The simplest path would see BYU, Arizona State, and Iowa State lose on Saturday. Alternatively, they would need two of those schools to lose.
The more circuitous path would see Arizona State, Iowa State win and BYU lose. In turn, they would need Texas Tech to beat West Virginia, Baylor to beat Kansas State, and Cincinnati to beat TCU. If all of this happens, then Colorado will advance to the playoffs.
