Garrett Nussmeier will enter his fifth year with LSU in the 2025 season. The quarterback has developed into one of the most talented players in the college circuit over the past few years.
On Thursday, the Tigers shared a throwback post on Instagram of some players from its roster, including Nussmeier and Chris Hilton Jr., among others. All players donned LSU kits, and Nussmeier was amused when he went through the post.
"Bro 😂😂😂," Nussmeier commented.

Nussmeier committed to the Tigers in 2021. However, he had to wait three seasons before getting the QB1 role.
In his first year as a starter, Nussmeier posted 4,052 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, while also rushing for three touchdowns. He led the Tigers to a 9-4 (5-3 Southeastern Conference) record in 2024.
LSU suffered a 27-20 loss to USC in its opening game last season, but followed it up with six straight wins. However, the Tigers lost three straight games, which ruled them out of College Football Playoff contention.
Nussmeier led LSU to a 44-31 win over Baylor in the Texas Bowl.
LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier was spotted at New Orleans Saints' minicamp

Garrett Nussmeier was at the New Orleans Saints' mandatory minicamp session on Tuesday. The LSU star signed autographs for fans.
Garrett's father, Doug, played as a quarterback in the NFL and is the offensive coordinator of the Saints.
The Tigers will begin the 2025 season on the road against Clemson on Aug. 30. They have not won their opening game of the season in the past five years, and it will be interesting to see if Nussmeier and Co. can end that streak this year.
As LSU aims to reach the College Football Playoff, Nussmeier will have to play a critical role in the team's offense.
