Dan Hurley, the head coach of the UConn Huskies men's basketball team, recently won his second consecutive national championship as the Huskies dominated the March Madness tournament.

Hurley returned the Huskies to their powerhouse status and has won everything that one can as a coach of a college program.

On the Wednesday edition of the Dan Patrick show, Hurley was asked if any reasons would cause him to leave the Huskies.

"Maybe just burnout," Hurley said. "Just pushing too hard and probably breaking down at some point because you can't keep up the intensity and the energy and the output."

For now, Hurley aims to win the third consecutive national championship next season with the Huskies.

The role of the head coach has been even more important since the passing of the NIL, as players now have more incentive to transfer to another program if they believe that they are not getting played enough or if they receive a better chance for an NIL deal elsewhere.

This can increase the risk of burnout, which is one of the reasons why Dan Hurley may one day leave the UConn Huskies.

Dan Hurley to the NBA?

The other reason that Dan Hurley said that he would leave the UConn Huskies would be to coach in the NBA.

"Maybe down the road if I can grow up a bit ... The NBA," he said.

Hurley's strong record at the college level would make him a good candidate to become an NBA head coach in the future.

Additionally, in the last few years, the college game has become increasingly similar to the professional game in terms of gameplay. The introduction of the NIL allows players to make money and spread these changes to an organizational level, and now college basketball can be seen as more similar to the NBA than it was in the past.

"College has become like the G League (the NBA's developmental league ... The college game has changed," he added.

Hurley has been able to thrive in the current landscape of college sports, thus making a potential transition to the big leagues is a distant outlook for now.

Do you think that Dan Hurley will coach in the NBA one day?
