Nick Saban has opened up on how quarterback Jalen Milroe helped the Alabama Crimson Tide register back-to-back games,

The quarterback dilemma for Saban and his Crimson Tide team has been prevalent. With two-year starter Bryce Young joining the NFL, Saban had to choose between Jalen Milroe, Tyler Buchner and Ty Simpson.

All three quarterbacks have had the opportunity to play for Alabam. Eventually, Saban decided to put his faith in Milroe, who was the QB1 for most of the season. Milroe had a few ups and downs this year, but Saban has now come forward to talk about the progress of the 20-year-old.

During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Saban talked about how Jalen Milroe has evolved with each game this season. He also gave fans a perspective into the factors helping Milroe improve his game despite the team's QB dilemma.

"I think his confidence, relationships and understanding with his coaches of exactly what he needs to do as a player has gone way up. And I think that is what has helped his performance."
"I mean the guy is a talented guy. He can throw the ball accurately down the field. He's a real athlete. He can extend plays. He can make plays with his feet. So, this progression, that we kind of needed for him to play quarterback has been really, really exponentially improving week-by-week", Saban said.

After their disappointing week 2 loss at home to the Texas Longhorns, many fans believed that the era of Nick Saban with Alabama was coming to an end.

However, it seems like that defeat had built a new path to success. Alabama has not lost a game ever since, going on to be ranked 10 in the AP poll after week 6.

Nick Saban and Co. face Arkansas Razorbacks in week 7

Last weekend saw Alabama beat Texas A&M 26-20. The game was too close for comfort for Saban, but Jalen Milroe made an impression at Kyle Field, with 321 passing yards and three TD passes.

This performance has certainly helped Saban put more faith in Milroe as his starter.

Alabama faces Arkansas this weekend. The Razorbacks are 2-4, so on paper, Nick Saban is expected to secure an easy win.

However, football is unpredictable, so Jalen Milroe will have to step it up once again on the field if he wants to retain his QB1 job for the rest of the season.
