Coach Prime's son, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders became the first NCAA football player to sign an NIL deal with Nike in August. Sanders has worn Nike apparel this season as part of his deal with Nike.
On Friday, Deion Sanders dropped an Instagram post celebrating Shedeur's visit to the Nike House of Innovation. In the caption, Coach Prime had a clear message to his son:
"Son u got Now!"

The comment section was an interesting place as many celebrities and fans came to show their support for Shedeur Sanders. Even the US Nike Football Instagram account made a comment.
"Legendary."

Coach Prime's son, Shedeur Sanders, misses out on a Heisman Trophy nomination
Despite having an excellent season with the Colorado Buffaloes, Shedeur Sanders missed out on a nomination for the Heisman Trophy. His teammate Travis Hunter was named a finalist and is widely expected to win the award.
Alongside Hunter, Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, Miami QB Cam Ward and Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel were named finalists.
Despite not being named a Heisman Trophy finalist, Shedeur is projected to be a top pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Most mock drafts list Coach Prime's son as one of the first two quarterbacks selected, with Cam Ward. It is commonly expected that either might be the first quarterback off the board, depending on which teams finish first through fifth.
Some pundits even project Shedeur as the first overall pick, although that is far from a guarantee. Unlike many years where the first overall pick is unanimously agreed upon, the 2025 NFL draft has several candidates. Notably, Sanders' teammate Travis Hunter is also viewed as a possible first-overall pick.
However, before either Colorado Buffaloes' player gets drafted, they will finish their season playing in the Alamo Bowl on December 28th against the No. 17-ranked BYU Cougars.
The team will have plenty of time to rest and prepare after failing to reach the Big 12 Championship Game or College Football playoff.
