North Texas enters Saturday's matchup with a 5-6 record and is coming off a 28-40 ECU loss, extending their losing streak to five games. The Mean Green will look to secure a spot in a bowl game with a win this weekend.
On the other hand, Temple is coming into the contest with a disappointing 3-8 record on the season and a 27-51 defeat at the hands of UTSA in their most recent outing. The Owls can wrap their season up on a high note with a win on Saturday.

North Texas opened the game with an eight-play, 75-yard drive capped off by a 14-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Chandler Morris to DT Sheffield. The Mean Green quickly forced a fumble and kicked a 36-yard field goal to extend their lead to 10-0.
The two sides exchanged three-and-outs until the Owls kicked a 44-yard field goal to cut the lead to 10-3. Makenzie McGill II broke free for a 39-yard touchdown scamper to extend their lead to 17-3 entering the second quarter.
After forcing a punt, the Mean Green capitalized with a 51-yard touchdown run from McGill to extend their lead to 24-3 in the opening moments of the second quarter.
A pair of rushing touchdowns brought the game to within reach for Temple, cutting North Texas's lead to 24-17 entering the locker rooms at halftime.
After combining for 41 points in the first half, each team’s defense tightened up in the second half, not allowing an inch. Neither offense managed to find points and the Mean Green topped the Owls 24-17.
