Kristen Saban details dynamics between her parents and her children
In a June episode of the "Next Round" podcast, Kristen Saban detailed the special relationship that her father, Nick Saban, has with her son, James.
"He's great with Jamie," Kristen said. I think it's fun for him, because I have a niece. She's 10 years old, and she was the first grandchild and she was a girl, but now that we have James, he's the boy, and my dad can play T ball with him in the driveway, and throw a ball with him and do kind of all the boy stuff."
Kristen said how difficult it was to give birth to her son in 2020 without the support of her mother, Miss Terry, due to the prevailing conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"They were just kind of like, looking at me, and then when they pulled James up over the curtain, then we kind of flipped everything," Kristen said. "But it's like, you know, if it wasn't the pandemic, my mom and Adam would have been right there, but Adam was there, but it was just kind of sad. Like, when you're a girl and you're having your first baby, you always want your mom there."
Kristen has said she enjoys spending more time with her father since his retirement, allowing her child to spend more time with his grandfather. He had a packed schedule as a college football coach.
