LSU's Garrett Nussmeier seems to be enjoying the offseason, as a post from his girlfriend's Instagram from this Monday shows. The post, in which Ella Springfield is shown graduating from the Baton Rouge school, shows Nussmeier carrying his girlfriend in full commencement ceremony attire through "Death Valley."
In the post's caption, Springfield wrote:

"Endlessly thankful for the memories, the friendships, and the love that only LSU could give. #foreverlsu"
Other pictures from the post show her with some of her friends in LSU football jerseys in front of Tiger Stadium. Hers was a Garrett Nussmeier shirt.
Springfield finished her studies at LSU in 2024 and has obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at LSU and had marketing and sales internships at local companies.
She also claims to have a passion for social media content creation, having grown her TikTok to 200 thousand followers.
Brian Kelly believes Garrett Nussmeier is the best quarterback in the SEC
There's been much talk about Arch Manning and the possibility of the Texas quarterback taking over the SEC by storm in 2025. However, LSU's Brian Kelly believes everyone should hold their horses and not discount Garrett Nussmeier.
The LSU coach believes that Nussmeier is the best quarterback in the conference. He made his feelings known in Tuesday's edition of the "College GameDay" podcast, where he told Pete Thamel and Rece Davis:
"Look, we hear it every day because (Manning is) from Louisiana. … And listen, there’s another guy that hears it all the time and that’s Garrett Nussmeier, he’s committed, and more than anything else, he’s experienced. And in this league, you need to see the bullets flying..."
“All I’m saying is, Nussmeier has seen it. He knows what he’s going to get,” Kelly added. “There’s a confidence he’ll bring each and every game through experience, maybe even through some scar tissue, that’s going to allow him to be, I believe, the best quarterback.”
At the moment, Nussmeier and Manning are the favorites to win the 2025 Heisman Trophy. The Longhorns signal-caller has a slight edge, with odds of +600 according to BetMGM. Garrett Nussmeier is at +850 according to the same sportsbook.
However, experience is on Nussmeier's side. While he has started 13 games for the Tigers, Arch Manning has only started two for the Lognhorns.
