Texas Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian could be in jeopardy of losing Jalen Lott to the USC Trojans. On Monday, the wide receiver shared a video of himself representing USC on X (formerly Twitter). 247Sports rates Lott as a four-star prospect ahead of his freshman year in 2026.
"Home?? (Eyes emoji) #FightOn," Lott tweeted.

247Sports reported that the Longhorns extended an offer to Lott on Nov. 4, 2023. However, other teams, including USC, have also sent offers and have met with the wide receiver to convince him to commit. He visited the Trojans and the Ohio State Buckeyes on Friday, but it seems USC has sparked his interest.
The four-star prospect is expected to meet with Texas on Friday. Sarkisian will have the opportunity to sway Lott's decision before the wide receiver visits the Oregon Ducks on June 20.
Lott is set to finish his last year playing for the Panther Creek High School (Frisco, Texas). According to MaxPreps, he led the team in receiving yards as a junior with 85 catches for 1,111 yards and 16 touchdowns.
One of his best performances last season was in the Panthers' 44-7 win against the Southwest High School Raiders on Sep. 14. Lott had seven receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw a pass for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Sarkisian is hopeful he can convince Lott to join the Longhorns to bolster their offense in 2026.
Steve Sarkisian's wide receiver options for the 2025 season
The attempt to acquire Jalen Lott comes as the Longhorns have lost several key offensive players for the 2025 season. Steve Sarkisian will be without notable stars, including wide receiver Matthew Golden.
Golden had the most receiving yards for Texas last season with 58 catches for 987 yards and nine touchdowns. The Green Bay Packers selected the wide receiver with the 23rd pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Another key player Sarkisian lost is Gunnar Helm, who ranked second in receiving yards with 60 catches for 786 yards and seven touchdowns. The Tennessee Titans acquired the tight end in the fourth round of the draft.
Texas will have wide receivers Isaiah Bond, Ryan Wingo and DeAndre Moore Jr. returning to play a bigger role in the offense. They also added several new freshman wide receivers, like Kaliq Lockett, to add depth to the roster.
