However, amid the celebrations of this victory, Shedeur Sanders decided to address a recent t-shirt controversy that the Colorado Buffaloes found itself in before the game. In the post-game press conference, the QB stated that the accusations made were 'disturbing' and that people were just making things up for 'content'.

"The CU don't like the flag or something? Like c'mon bro like that's sick at this point," Shedeur said. "Y'all just fishing for content at this point. That was very disturbing.

"Because what I feel bad for, it's the genuine people that are out there that read the media, that don't know us. And they believe the type of lies and the type of things... the narrative. And some people may not just have a chance to really understand what's going on in the situation."

"I don't know, its just weird and I just feel bad for those people that don't know us. They judging us based off of somebody's hate towards dad (Deion Sanders)."

Ahead of the week 11 showdown, Red Raider Outfitter wanted to make custom game shirts with the 'Celebrate America' theme. However, according to store owner Stephen Spiegelberg, the Buffs were not interested in this idea and rejected it, creating a controversy that CU does not appreciate the American flag.

On Thursday, Colorado AD Rick George shared a tweet on X surrounding this controversy and tried to clear the misunderstanding surrounding it.

"All I will say is that this is not accurate and we have many things with the American flag. Let's do better with our homework. Let's get a W this weekend."

Shedeur Sanders puts up a brilliant performance against Texas Tech

Colorado continued their winning ways after qualifying for the Bowl games following their previous win over Cincinnati. Shedeur Sanders once again showcased his talents, proving why he is considered a top pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Against Texas Tech, Shedeur Sanders completed 30 of his 43 attempts. He recorded a total of 291 passing yards and three TD passes while boasting a 69.8 pass completion percentage.

If Colorado can win their remaining regular season games, then they have a chance of exceeding expectations and being a contender for the new 12-team playoffs. The Buffs are scheduled to face the Utah Utes next week.
