Tory Horton has been one of the key parts of the offense for the Colorado State Rams. Last week, this team struggled against the Texas Longhorns, scoring no points. But in Week 2, the Rams were able to deliver, defeating State rivals the Northern Colorado Bears 38-17.

However, while Colorado State did win the game, they lost Horton.

Horton made his second catch of the game in the third quarter. But after making the catch, he pulled up and then started to limp before falling onto the Colorado State sideline.

Horton was then transported to the injury tent and sent into the locker rooms, ruling him out of the game. At this moment, Horton had made two receptions for 43 yards as well as a 78-yard punt-return touchdown.

What did Colorado State coach Jay Norvell say about the injury to Tory Horton?

Colorado State coach Jay Norvell spoke about the injury to Horton in his postgame press conference, where he said:

"Hopefully, it won’t be serious enough where he misses too much time. It’s too early to tell right now."

At the moment, there are many things that are unknown about Horton's injury. The most important thing that is unknown is how long Horton is going to be out.

This is important, as the next game for Colorado State is a big one. Next weekend, they face state rivals, the Colorado Buffaloes. The team coached by Deion Sanders has a high-power offense. Even though this offense struggled against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, they are the stronger team compared with the Rams.

If Colorado State is going to keep up against the likes of Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, they are going to need to score points. The best way to do this is to have a talented wide receiver like Horton.

If he is not available, the Rams could struggle in a similar way to what they did against the Texas Longhorns.
