Sanders has a long history with Nike. He began collaborating with the sports apparel brand in 1992 while he was playing as a cornerback in the NFL.

According to reports, Sanders was often vocal about his dissatisfaction with Nike's handling of his sneakers. The two had an acrimonious split in the late 2000s and Sanders signed with Under Armour.

In 2017, Sanders publicly criticized Nike and said he would never work with the brand again. However, Nike and Sanders rekindled their relationship in July 2023 and announced a surprise reconciliation.

Sanders ended his partnership with Under Armour to return to collaborating with Nike. Since his second link-up with Nike, Coach Prime often shares his customized sneakers on Instagram.

Hunter's mother appreciated some of the Nike merchandise on Sanders' latest IG post.

Travis Hunter is expected to enter the 2025 NFL draft on the back of a stellar season with Colorado. Many believe that the two-way star is a top-three pick, which means he could go to either the Tennessee Titans (No. 1 pick), Cleveland Browns (No. 2 pick) or New York Giants (No. 3 pick).

Hunter had a memorable 2024 with the Buffaloes, posting 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns on 96 receptions as a wideout. He also tallied 36 tackles, 11 passes defended, four interceptions and a forced fumble as a cornerback.

Hunter's outings in offense and defense helped the No. 20-ranked Buffs finish with a 9-3 record in the regular season. Colorado played Big 12 rival BYU in the Alamo Bowl but Hunter and the Buffaloes ended the season with a 36-14 loss.

While Hunter is eligible to return to the college circuit for the 2025 season, many believe that he will declare for this year's NFL draft.
