Hollywood actor Glen Powell is an Austin, Texas, native and a massive Longhorns fan. Powell even once dressed up as Quinn Ewers with a mullet to hype up the team.
During an appearance on College GameDay, Powell was a guest picker as he was rocking a Longhorns jersey and hat. But it didn't stop there, as the actor also threw on a mullet resembling Ewers' old hair, which caused the desk to laugh.

Powell said Ewers had the strongest mullet in all of college football, and he also heaped praise on Bijan Robinson, as this clip is from two years ago when Texas lost to Alabama.
It was funny for Powell to hype up his team and Ewers as he did on national television. Unfortunately, Ewers has since cut his mullet off and is back to the shaved head.
Last season, Ewers went 272-for-394 for 3,479 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions as he helped lead Texas to the college football playoff.
Quinn Ewers believes Texas is ready for SEC play
Quinn Ewers and the Texas Longhorns are officially SEC members, as the school joined the premier conference on July 1.
With Texas joining the SEC, there is a lot of pressure on the Longhorns, but Ewers believes he and his team are ready for SEC play, and they showed that by beating Alabama last season.
"I think that shows what we are capable of as a whole. I think the biggest thing for us is, yeah, we’re capable of playing games the way we played that one. Now we have to really do it on a much more consistent level. Because week in, week out, we’re playing a tough opponent. I definitely can agree with that," Ewers said at SEC Media Days (via LonghornsWire).
"Going into Alabama and playing one of the hardest stadiums to play in, and, you know, against one of the greatest coaches ever is definitely not easy to go in there and accomplish what we accomplished," Ewers added.
Ewers and Texas will open its 2024 season on August 31 against Colorado State. The Longhorns will have notable SEC games against Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida and Texas A&M.
Texas has the second-best odds to win the SEC at +320, according to DraftKings, which implies a 23.8 percent chance of it happening.
