Alabama wide receiver Cole Adams appears to have suffered an injury during the Crimson Tide's game against the Missouri Tigers.

Adams left the game in the first quarter after being hit from behind by a Missouri defender.

He was later seen getting help from the Alabama training staff to come off the field and was then carted off into the locker room. When he re-emerged, his foot was in a boot, implying an injury to this part of the body.

"Alabama WR Cole Adams, with a towel over his head, being carted to the locker room. He has a boot on his left leg already," journalist Mike Rodak wrote on X.

Adams, who is part of a very strong wide receiver room in Alabama, has not played much this season. This is partly due to him sustaining an arm injury in the Crimson Tide's second game of the season against South Florida.

When he has played, Adams has recorded 64 yards from six catches, with no touchdowns.

Alabama are uncharacteristically struggling this season

The injury to Cole Adams is another problem that the Alabama Crimson Tide are currently facing. The once dominant team under former coach Nick Saban is now struggling under new coach Kalen DeBoer.

For the first time since 2007, Alabama has lost two regular season games before November. They come into the game against the Missouri Tigers as the No. 15 ranked team.

This is very low for Alabama, especially when under Saban, the Crimson Tide were almost always in the conversation for a national championship.

Saban, who is now a panelist on College GameDay, explained why he thinks this team is struggling, and what they can do to return to their former glory.

"All these things that have been going wrong really are not talent-oriented. They are mental errors of snap count, all these different things. I think the number one thing Alabama has to do is not worry about winning. They have to worry about getting back and playing to a standard. Because I think if they play to a standard with the talent they have, they will be able to come out on top."

With top players such as Jalen Milroe and Ryan Williams, among others, on the roster, the Alabama Crimson Tide should not be performing as they have been recently.

They need to improve and save their season. A victory over Missouri, with or without Cole Adams, will help them.
