The Wyoming Cowboys were on the road in Week 12, as they traveled to Fort Collins to take on the Colorado State Rams in a Mountain West Conference showdown on Saturday.
The Cowboys entered the matchup with a 2-7 record, but on the back of a 49-45 win over New Mexico that snapped a three-game losing streak.
Colorado State, meanwhile, was looking to maintain its position near the top of the Mountain West. The Rams entered this clash with a 4-0 record in conference play and a 6-3 mark on the season. They were coming off a 38-21 win over Nevada that extended their win streak to four games.

Colorado State opened up a 14-point lead in the first quarter and did not look back, eventually sealing a 24-10 win over the Cowboys.

Wyoming vs. Colorado State: Game Summary
The opening quarter was all Colorado State. The Rams opened the game with a six-play, 75-yard drive capped off by an 11-yard touchdown scamper from Avery Morrow, giving Colorado State a 7-0 lead.
After forcing two punts, the Rams responded after missing a field goal, marching 83 yards in eight plays to punch in a second touchdown, extending their lead to 14-0 going into the second quarter.
On the opening drive of the second quarter, Wyoming scored its first points of the game with a 49-yard field goal, cutting the lead to 14-3. Colorado State responded with a field goal of its own, taking a 17-3 lead into halftime.
Colorado State and Wyoming exchanged touchdown drives in the second half, entering the final period with a score of 24-10.
Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi connected with Tommy Maher for a 53-yard touchdown, giving the Rams a 24-3 lead in the opening minutes of the second half. Wyoming responded with a six-play, 66-yard drive capped off by a short rushing touchdown from Kaden Anderson.
Colorado State held Wyoming scoreless in the fourth quarter to complete a 24-10 win.
