Ole Miss' starting QB against the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 10
Jaxson Dart has started the first eight games of the 2024 college football season for the Ole Miss Rebels. Dart is having an impressive senior year with the Rebels, amassing 2,695 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and three interceptions.
It's also pertinent to note that Dart has thrown for over 261 passing yards in every game he's played in the 2024 season. His performances have earned him Heisman Trophy shouts even though his team are positioned outside the top 10 of the AP Poll rankings.
The 2024 college football season is Dart's third with the Rebels after he made the move from the USC Trojans after the 2021 college football season. His performances have gotten better each season, and he's on track to set career highs in most major quarterback-centered statistical categories.
Dart will fancy his chances of dropping big numbers in Week 10 against the 5-3 Arkansas Razorbacks.
Ole Miss Rebels' QB depth chart
The other quarterbacks on Ole Miss' active roster are Austin Simmons and Walker Howard. Austin Simmons is a redshirt freshman out of Pahokee High School.
He joined the Rebels after an impressive high school football career that saw him rated as a consensus four-star quarterback prospect. He didn't play in a single game in the 2023 season and was subsequently redshirted.
Walker Howard is the Rebels' current QB3 heading into that Arkansas Razorbacks game. Howard comes from football royalty, as he's the son of former LSU QB Jamie Howard.
Hence, it's not surprising that the former St. Thomas More High School standout attended LSU before he took his talents to the Rebels. Howard is in his sophomore season, and he will be hoping for an increased role on the Rebels offense when Dart eventually declares for the NFL Draft.
