Hudson Card will start as Purdue's quarterback against Ohio State on Saturday. The signal-caller has made six starts for the Boilermakers this season but didn't play in the defeats against Illinois and Oregon since he was in the concussion protocols. Ryan Browne started in those two games.

Card has shown signs of promise but hasn't been able to assert himself entirely to get Purdue regular wins. The senior quarterback has completed 92 of 149 passes for 1,005 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions.

Card has a 1-5 record as a starter. He led the Boilermakers to a 49-0 win over Indiana State in Week 1 but has been on the losing side in his other five starts.

Purdue coach Ryan Walters has Browne as Card's backup, while Marcos Davila is the third-choice quarterback on the depth chart.
