Courtney Crutchfield's time with the Missouri Tigers seems to be coming to an end. The freshman wide receiver entered the transfer portal and will look to take his talent elsewhere.

Crutchfield only played 10 snaps for the Tigers this season, as the crowded wide receiver room left little opportunity. He was, however, expected to become a regular contributor in 2025.

He was a four-star prospect and the No. 10 wide receiver coming out of high school, according to 247 Sports.

Crutchfield is the ninth impactful transfer out of Missouri. Here are five destinations that could work for the former Tiger.

Top 5 landing spots for Mizzou WR Courtney Crutchfield

#5, Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverines landed star quarterback Bryce Underwood. Now they need players who can catch the ball from him. Michigan landed Andrew Marsh, a four-star prospect, as well as former Indiana pass-catcher Donovan McCulley. However, there is improvement to be made in the wide receiver room.

The team's leading wideout, Tyler Morris, caught 23 balls and couldn't break 300 yards. Spotty quarterback play didn't help, but the Wolverines finished 130th in passing offense, and that also falls on the receivers. Courtney Crutchfield would give the team a promising wide receiver.

#4, Louisville Cardinals

The Cardinals landed a commitment from Miller Moss, but their receiver room might need re-tooling. Leading wide receiver Ja'Corey Brooks is leaving for the NFL. Caullin Lacy and Ahmari Huggins-Bruce are seniors, although Lacy could return after an injury cut short his 2024 season.

Either way, Jeff Brohm's squad needs depth, especially with three wide receivers headed for the portal.

The team landed a couple of three-star wide receivers in recruiting, but Courtney Crutchfield would still be a top option in Louisville. He could also benefit from playing with an experienced quarterback in Jeff Brohm's system. The Cardinals finished 15th in the nation with 271.9 passing yards per game.

#3, Oklahoma Sooners

Six wide receivers have already departed Norman through the transfer portal for a team that struggled to get passing yards all season, with 153.7 yards per game (122nd in the nation).

Senior JJ Hester and tight end Bauer Sharp were the only players on the team to top 300 receiving yards. Deon Burks has already committed to staying with the Sooner in 2025, but they need more talent in that receiver room.

John Mateer's arrival through the transfer portal also upgrades the quarterback position. Could that factor into Courtney Crutchfield's decision?

#2, Arkansas Razorbacks

The Pine Bluff, Arkansas, native could be looking for a move back to his home state. He initially committed to the Hogs last year before flipping to Missouri.

Four Arkansas receivers are finishing their eligibility this year, including the team leader with 72 receptions, 1,140 yards and one touchdown. The second leading receiver, Isaiah Sategna, is one of four other wideouts to enter the portal. That leaves a huge void in the lineup.

While it's been reported that the school has approached former Alabama wideout Kendrick Law, no SEC team might offer the same opportunity to come in and get meaningful snaps instantly.

#1, Alabama Crimson Tide

With wide receivers Caleb Odom and Kobe Prentice committed to Ole Miss and Baylor, there will be changes in the Alabama receiver room. Emmanuel Henderson Jr. also entered the transfer portal.

Ryan Williams is a potential star, but there is little experience behind him and junior Germie Bernard, who will be entering his final season. Courtney Crutchfield could help fill a need and start getting some snaps this year in Alabama. The situation also looks more positive than at Arkansas, with more all-around talent and the chance to play for a contender.
