The Horned Frogs (6-4, 4-3 Big 12 Conference) have two games left in the regular season. Dykes and his team will be hopeful of ending his third campaign on a successful note by winning a Bowl game. But who will be the Horned Frogs' starting quarterback in Week 13?

Josh Hoover will continue his duties as the Horned Frogs starting quarterback against the Arizona Wildcats. He has been the QB1 of the team in every game this season and has tallied 3,233 yards and 22 touchdowns along with eight interceptions to his name.

During their victory against Oklahoma State, Josh Hoover completed 26 of 35 passes he attempted for 286 yards and one TD. Coming out of Rockwall-Heath High School, Hoover committed to playing for TCU as a part of the 2022 recruiting class.

The QB redshirted his freshman campaign before serving as the backup to Chandler Morris last season. After Morris suffered an injury in Week 6, Hoover replaced him and made his first start for the TCU Horned Frogs the following week during their victory against BYU. He finished the season with 2,206 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Josh Hoover is considered a key part of TCU's offense. If he can perform at his full potential, then Sonny Dykes and his team can win their remaining two games of the regular season.

TCU's quarterback depth chart

Apart from Josh Hoover, the Horned Frogs also have Ken Seals and Hauss Hejny as options in their QB depth chart. Seals committed to playing for the Vanderbilt Commodores out of high school in 2020. He spent four seasons with them before deciding to join Sonny Dykes' team this offseason.

Seals did not see any action as a third-string quarterback in the 2022 season. During Vanderbilt's 2023 campaign, he played in nine games and tallied 1,183 yards and 11 touchdowns passing. He has seen limited time on the field this season while recording 41 yards and one touchdown passing.

On the other hand, Hauss Hejny joined the Horned Frogs this season. Coming out of Aledo High School, the former four-star prospect has yet to debut for the team.
