After comprehensively winning the two Test matches against Zimbabwe, Pakistan did not expect a tough fight from the home team in ODIs but Zimbabwe gave their best in the first ODI. Thanks to an unbeaten 141 from Mohammad Yousuf, Pakistan could score 302/4 which helped them edge past Zimbabwe by 7 runs.

Following the man of the match performance in the first ODI, Yousuf had two unbeaten innings worth 76 and 100 in the second and third matches respectively. He got out for the first time in the series in the final ODI. After scoring 88 in the final match, Yousuf was runout as fell short of the crease and ended the series with a run-tally of 405.
