Chris Broad is famous for his 3 centuries on the 1986 Ashes
Chris Broad is famous for his heroics in the 1986 Ashes where he scored 3 consecutive Test hundreds in 3 Tests. The left-handed opening batsman had a brief but successful career for England as he averaged 39.55 in 44 Test innings and 40.03 in 34 ODIs. He was an aggressive batsman who liked to attack the bowlers from the first ball he faced and that was probably the reason which led to a shortened career.
Though he played only 25 Test matches and 34 ODIs for England, he has been on the ICC match referee panel since 2003. In a time span of more than 14 years as a Match Referee, Chris Broad has officiated in 461 international matches (93 Tests, 294 ODIs and 74 T 20 internationals). Chris Broad continues to be a prominent member in the panel of ICC match referees even today.

He is also thrilled by the competitiveness on display across all formats in the sport. His favorite cricketer is Sachin Tendulkar and reckons that his childhood idol's dominance over world-class bowlers in the 1990s speaks volumes about his skills and achievements.
Meit has had the privilege of interviewing Indian speedster Ishant Sharma and India Women's legend Mithali Raj so far in his professional career.
If he ever laid his hands on a time machine, Meit would love to witness the 2023 ICC World Cup final between India and Australia and believes that ODIs should never be completely replaced by T20Is owing to the format's popularity.
