Ben Dunk - 8

Dunk was striking the ball beautifully in the powerplay overs as he seemed to have taken on the aggressor's role. The southpaw's wicket was crucial for the Stars once he reached his fifty. His team expected him to be there till the end. But unfortunately, he was caught on the boundary ropes while trying to hit a maximum.

Marcus Stoinis - 7

Stoinis looked under control to take his side to their first BBL title but that was not the case. He stitched a crucial 93-run partnership with Ben Dunk for the first wicket in a low scoring affair. The right-hander made 39 handy runs before Boyce cleaned him up with a wrong one. He was surprisingly ineffective with the ball in the final.

Peter Handscomb - 2

The stage was set for Handscomb to be the hero in the final match. However, he played an ugly shot off Tremain and got caught out by Dan Christian on his second ball.

Glenn Maxwell - 2

Maxwell was once again targetted with a short-ball trap and he fell for it yet again. After playing some defensive strokes, he lost his patience and eventually hit one straight to the throat of deep square leg.

Nic Maddinson - 3

Maddison had a mixed tournament so far this season as he couldn't capitalize to make the most of all of his opportunities. He failed to impress in the final and could only manage to score six runs.

Seb Gotch - 2

Gotch had played the floater role really well throughout the season. However, he came in at number six and threw his wicket away to Christian after just scoring a couple of runs.

Dwayne Bravo - 5

Bravo had a poor outing with the bat. After conceding 24 runs in his three overs, he needed to back it up with the bat. Unfortunately for the Stars, the all-rounder could only manage three runs before getting out to a full toss.

Adam Zampa - 8

Zampa bowled a splendid spell to restrict the Renegades under 150. He took the key wickets of White and Harvey in the middle-overs. With the bat, he smashed 17 off 10. But it was not enough to take his team to victory.

Sandeep Lamichhane - 9

The leg-spinner from Nepal was extremely economical in his four-over spell as he only conceded 16 runs. He didn't give chance to his opponents to free their arms by bowling consistently in the right lines.

Daniel Worrall - 3

The Player of the match in the semi-final couldn't repeat his magic in the final. He was often trying too many things which gave the Renegades enough loose balls to put away and release the pressure.

Jackson Bird - 8

Jackson Bird was on fire with the ball. He bowled beautifully in the powerplay and sent back the top three batsmen on his own. After removing Marcus Harris and Sam Harper with his bowling, the pacer smartly deflected the ball in his follow through to run Aaron Finch out.
