England vs Pakistan: Mark Wood speaks on the competition with Jofra Archer and the possibility of a 500 in ODIs
Reports have emerged that scorecards for the forthcoming World Cup have been redesigned to allow for totals up to 500 - which was once unthinkable.
Speaking ahead of the latest ODI against Pakistan, England pace bowler Mark Wood agreed the landmark is now within sight.
"I think England team have set the standard. And I truly believe that we think maybe 500 is gettable one day," he said.
"The scores of 400 and stuff just seem almost normal now - 300 plus every game, 350. Who'd want to be a bowler, eh?"
