The duo of Sarfaraz and his father is not the only father-son duo who play professional cricket together. Former West Indian Captain Shivnarine Chanderpaul is a popular name in the cricketing circle. Chanderpaul played many international games for the West Indian Team and his International career lasted for 17 years. He was one of the finest batsmen of his generation and played his last international game way back in 2015.

However, the 44-year old continues to play domestic cricket. It is Chanderpaul’s passion alone that has helped his son, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, become a budding cricketer. In fact, Chanderpaul and his 22- year old son play for the same team and in a hilarious incident, the father (Shiv) saw his son being run out on the other end.

The duo has been playing together since 2015. They first played together for the Gandhi Youth Organization and were even involved in a record 256 run partnership in a 40 over game.
