The Shrachi Rarh Tigers defeated the Sobisco Smashers Malda in the 17th match, chasing down the target of 143 in 15.5 overs with seven wickets to spare.
Despite facing their first defeat of the tournament, Sobisco Smashers Malda remain atop the Bengal Pro T20 League 2024 points table. Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers have jumped three places from fifth to second with six points and three wins.
Murshidabad Kings, with four points and a net run rate of +0.454, dropped from second to third position. Similarly, Rashmi Medinipur Wizards slipped from third to fourth position with four points and a net run rate of +0.135.

Harbour Diamonds batted first against the Kolkata Tigers in the 16th Bengal Pro T20 League match. They put up 138 runs from their 20 overs, losing seven wickets as well. Skipper Manoj Tiwary top-scored with 45 while Shashank Singh (33), Badal Singh Balyan (26), and Chandrahas Dash (23) made valuable contributions.
Ananta Saha, Karan Lal, and Sayan Ghosh picked up two wickets each for the Tigers. In reply, they got over the line with ease, overhauling the target in just 16.4 overs with seven wickets remaining. Karan Lal remained unbeaten on 62 while skipper Abhishek Porel scored 30 runs.
In the 17th game, Sobisco Smashers Malda batted first and were restricted to 142/9 from their 20 overs. Saurabh Singh (34) and Kaif Ahmed (31) were the only notable contributors with the bat. Suman Das and skipper Shahbaz Ahmed picked up two wickets apiece for the Rarh Tigers.
It was a comfortable victory for the Tigers as they chased down the target in 15.5 overs. Arindam Ghosh scored an unbeaten 48 while Sumanta Gupta (36) and Pradipta Pramanik (41*) also played vital knocks. The Rarh Tigers won the match by seven wickets in the end.
