Bengal Women's Pro T20 League 2024: Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Smashers Malda vs Medinipur Wizards (Updated) ft. Mitali Paul

Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024 saw two matches played on Thursday, June 13. Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers beat Adamas Howrah Warriors by three runs first up, while Sobisco Smashers Malda defeated Rashmi Medinipur Wizards by four wickets in the second game.

The Kolkata Tigers batted first and were only able to put up a total of 125 for the loss of three wickets in their 20 overs. Unbeaten half-centuries from skipper Mita Paul (57*) and Mamata Kisku (53*) propelled them to this total.

Sushmita Ganguly was the pick of the bowlers for the Howrah Warriors with figures of 2/20.

Chasing a low total, the Warriors faltered and were restricted to 122/9, falling short by just three runs. Skipper Dhara Gujjar (22), Prativa Mandi (24), and Puja Rajak (28) were the only significant scorers.

Ananya Halder and Ariktha Manna picked up three wickets apiece for the Kolkata Tigers, setting up the game for them.

In the other match, Reshmi Medinipur Wizards were held at 111/7 in 20 overs. Ankita Burman (36) and skipper Kashish Agarwal (27) made notable contributions. Shreya Karar with three wickets was the top performer for Sobisco Smashers with the ball.

In reply, an unbeaten 40 from Piyali Ghosh comfortably guided the Smashers over the line in 18.5 overs with four wickets to spare. Sanjana Kumari Das was the pick of the bowlers for the Wizards with a wicket to her name.

Mitali Paul of Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers is at the top of the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024 most run-getters list. She scored an unbeaten 57 in the previous game. Her teammate, Mamata Kisku, with an unbeaten 53, is in the second position.

Sandipta Patra of Murshidabad Kueens dropped two spots to number three with 44 runs. Piyali Ghosh scored an unbeaten 40 in the last match and takes the fourth position.

Ankita Burman with 36 runs is at the fifth spot while Jhumia Khatun dropped four places to the sixth position with 33 runs.
