San Francisco Unicorns took on Washington Freedom in the 20th match of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 on Tuesday, July 22, at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. The Unicorns chased down the revised target of 177 runs in 13.4 overs with two balls remaining and six wickets in hand.

Partnership between Sanjay Krishnamurthi and Josh Inglis turns the tide for the San Francisco Unicorns at MLC 2024
San Francisco Unicorns won the toss against Washington Freedom and elected to bowl. Travis Head and Steven Smith provided a solid start to the Freedom as they added 101 runs for the first wicket. Both the batters were dismissed after scoring 56 runs each.
The Freedom scored 174 runs for the loss of three wickets in 15.3 overs before the match was stopped due to rain. The Unicorns got a revised target of 177 runs in 14 overs.
The Unicorns lost their first wicket on the very first delivery of their innings and the second wicket in the fifth over. It was a partnership of 77 runs between Sanjay Krishnamurthi and Josh Inglis for the third wicket that changed the course of the match.
