Ossudu Accord Warriors and Yanam Royals locked horns in the fifth match of the Pondicherry Premier League 2024 on August 7. White Town Gaints and Mahe Megalo Strikers met in the next.
Mahe Megalo Strikers moved from third to first after securing their second win in a row over White Town Giants by 10 wickets. Meanwhile, Villianur Mohit Kings slipped to second with one win in two games and a net run rate of 0.759.
Ossudu Accord Warriors jumped from fifth to third following their maiden victory against Yanam Royals. On the other hand, White Town Giants descended from second to fourth after their previous defeat against the Megalo Strikers.
Karaikal Knights and Yanam Royals remain in the last two spots with negative NRRs of -2.097 and -3.693, respectively.

Ossudu Accord Warriors batted first and set a 177-run target for nine wickets. Jayasundaram Karthikeyan (43) and Sidak Singh (35) were the top run-getters while the rest made handy contributions. Manogaran Pooviarasan was the wrecker-in-chief with a three-wicket haul while Shivaji Naik and Ganga Sridhar Raju took two wickets each.
In reply, Yanam Royals' openers Neyan Shyam Kangayan and Ganga Raju were dismissed within the first four overs. K Sai Satwik and Ameer Zeeshan contributed 21 and 14 runs, respectively. Despite a 24-run effort from M Siddarth Naidu in the middle order, the team lacked support and fell short by 65 runs.
Sidak Singh led the Warriors’ bowling attack with a four-wicket haul. Satish Jangir and Krishna Pandey scalped two wickets while A Aravinddaraj took one.
In the following game, Mahe Megalo Strikers bowled out White Town Giants to 86 in 17.5 overs thanks to a complete bowling unit effort. Sagar Udeshi chipped in three wickets while Vishal Khokhar and Sreeraj took two. Fabid Ahmed, Karthik B Nair, and Thivagar Gopal claimed one wicket apiece.
In reply, Strikers opening pair of Ajay Rohera (58*) and Logesh Prabagaran (27*) comfortably chased the target in 6.3 overs.
