The UP T20 League 2024 season continued on Saturday, August 31 with yet another cracking double-header. Meerut Mavericks batted first in match 12 of the season and conjured 164/7 from 20 overs.
Madhav Kaushik top-scored with 28-ball 47 while Uvaish Ahmed (37 off 23) and Yash Garg (26* off 11) also listed valiant cameos at the death. Later, Meerut Mavericks bowlers Zeeshan Ansari (3/17) and Yash Garg (3/14) picked up three wickets each. They dismissed Gorakhpur Lions for just 116 as they secured a 48-run for their team.
In the second match of the evening, Noida Super Kings made 158/8 upon batting first. Prashant Veer scored the lone half-century of the innings alongside valuable contributions from Aditya Sharma (33 off 22) and Kavya Teotia (26 off 26).
In response, Kashi Rudras chased down their target with three wickets and seven balls to spare. Almas Shaukat top-scored with a cautious 37 before Aranav Baliyan blasted 25 unbeaten runs from just six deliveries to steer his team home.
UP T20 League 2024 Most Runs List
Each of the top four highest run-makers of the UP T20 League 2024 season retained their positions on the batting table. Aryan Juyal currently occupies the top spot with 216 runs. He is followed by Sameer Rizvi (170 runs), Dhruv Jurel (137 runs), and Priyam Garg (130 runs), respectively.
Rinku Singh also retained himself at number five on the list by extending his tally from 119 to 124 runs. Almas Shaukat, who was ranked 10th on the table, rose to number six with 120 runs after scoring 37 against the Noida Super Kings.
Madhav Kaushik jumped into the top 10 at number seven with 117 runs. Mohammad Sharim slipped from number six to number eight on the table with 113 runs. Adarsh Singh (104 runs) and Karan Sharma (102 runs) round up the top batting charts at number nine and number ten respectively.
UP T20 League 2024 Most Wickets List
Zeeshan Ansari pocketed match-winning figures of 3/17 to move to 12 wickets. He retained himself as the most successful bowler of the UP T20 League 2024 season. Vipraj Nigam also retained himself at number two on the table with nine wickets. Meanwhile, Sunil Kumar and Vijay Kumar rose a spot each to jump to number three and four respectively.
The rise of Sunil and Vijay coincided with a mini downfall of Abhinandan Singh. He slipped from number three to number five on the bowling standings with eight wickets.
Piyush Chawla, also with eight wickets, retained himself at number six. Yash Garg jumped into the top 10 at number seven owing to his three-fer against Gorakhpur Lions. Ankit Rajpoot (seven wickets) and Shivam Mishra (six wickets) are ranked eighth and ninth on the bowling table, respectively. Jasmer Dhankhar lost three rungs to slip to number 10 with six wickets from five innings to his name.
