In yet another grossly depressing incident on the cricket field, 18-year-old Pakistan cricketer Zeeshan Mohammed passed away after he was hit on the chest while playing a club match in Orangi Town, Karachi, on Sunday. Doctors informed that the cause of his death was a heart seizure that he suffered after being hit, and he was pronounced dead soon after being brought to the hospital.

"He was brought to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival,” doctor Samad said.

"We have been told he was hit in the chest by a fast bowler while batting and collapsed on the pitch," he added.

A police officer at a local station said that no case had been registered as it was an accident and the parents of the boy had buried his body.

This incident comes just two months after Australia batsman Phil Hughes was unfortunately hit on the side of the neck by a Sean Abbott bouncer during a Sheffield Shield encounter in Sydney.
