Ranji Trophy Day 3 Roundup: Gambhir and Tiwary make the headlines, Vidarbha's debutant Sarwate takes 6 against Assam

Gambhir and Tiwary who have played for India and also KKR together got into a tiff during their Ranji game today

On a day that saw Manoj Tiwary and Gautam Gambhir get into a tiff which caught the headlines, Andhra bowled out Uttar Pradesh for 309 in the second innings and require 157 with two days remaining to win the fixture.

During the match between Delhi and Bengal, Tiwary who was batting got into a verbal duel with Gambhir and the latter charged him with raised fist and also pushed the umpire aside who tried to intervene.

Mumbai, on the other hand, took the lead off 102 runs against Baroda who have just one wicket in hand. Bengal riding on a century scored by Chatterjee finished the day at 47/3 after bowling out Delhi for 249 runs.

Goa continued their good performance against Himachal Pradesh and finished the day at 182/3 with the lead of 130 runs. Haryana who bowled out Karnataka for a paltry 221, scored 262 in the second innings before declaring. Karnataka now require 364 runs to win the tie.
